Sustainability is our focus: Yes, WeCare!

Since 2021, we have been increasingly focusing on sustainability for our environment and sustainability for the people we work with.

The reason for this is not only that we all want to work together in the European community to ensure that our planet remains liveable, but we also want everyone to pull together.

As a family business, we want to do our part to ensure that our next generations will also have a planet worth living on.

Environment

Sustainable company management

The proportion of energy consumption/electricity in the IT sector in particular is increasing enormously and now accounts for about 5-10% of global energy consumption. That is roughly the amount of electricity needed for lighting, and more than the entire air traffic sector consumes.

Our industry has great responsibility here.

Where we start

We have a team in every large company that is committed to sustainability. The employees report directly to the management and come from the HR, Support and Sales departments.

To identify the main CO2 drivers of our company, we have drawn up a Green House Gas Protocol GHG.

In addition to determining the energy consumption in the company (energy consumption in the offices and by company vehicles), we determine the consumption caused by employees traveling to and from work.

These are some of our targets

Mobility

We are gradually replacing combustion engines, expanding the infrastructure at all locations and driving electrically.

We provide our employees with job bikes, job tickets and support for car pools so that we can make our journeys to work more environmentally friendly.

Our business travel has been greatly reduced.

By 2028, we will reduce the emissions of our company car fleet in Germany and, as far as possible, in the CEE countries to zero.

Locations/Subsidiaries

We stay close to our customers, concentrate on efficient, well-connected locations, thus saving resources through heating, soil and water. We operate our locations in an environmentally friendly way.

New offices are selected according to their environmental suitability and old ones are gradually replaced.

Working from home saves time and resources and is implemented on fixed days.

Hardware and software

Our software programming aims to be set up effectively and save resources

Storage capacities/cloud for our customers are operated with sustainable electricity

The hardware is selected according to consumption, is in use for longer and is made fit for further use by NGOs or employees for a longer life after professional use.

People

Sustainable employer

We are convinced that our company is only successful if our employees can develop. Long-term employees create satisfaction, more intensive customer relationships and therefore make our customers more successful.
